We run fun, friendly sessions for adults who are taking their first paddle strokes or who have enjoyed kayaking or canoeing on holiday and want to try more and develop new skills. All courses are pre-booked, so please get in touch.
We usually have a waiting list for the junior courses, but with two sessions a week and courses of six sessions it hopefully won’t be too long until a space is available. Contact the Junior Sessions Coordinator to book.
We have four open pool sessions running over the next few months:
7th Oct 7.15- 8-15pm
21st Oct 5.15- 6.15pm
18th Nov 7.15 – 8.15pm
9th Dec time tbc but will be either 5.15 or 7.15 start
Open sessions are for you to practice whatever you want to focus on and is suitable for all levels from complete beginners to advanced. There are often a lot of paddlers learning to roll in these sessions but you can practice other skills too. It isn’t a coached session but we will have plenty of coaches present to help you.
You might want to consider these sessions If you are a complete beginner but didn’t get on the beginners course.
You don’t need your own boats for these sessions as we have the club boats at the pool.
The cost for four sessions is £20 for all four or £7 for individual sessions.
Maximum of 10 paddlers / session. Contact Cathy for further details and to book.
The format will be teams of five playing for two five minute halves. We will be using the British Canoeing polo rules as closely as our facilities (and talent) will allow.
